As a rule of thumb, a bowl should hold slightly more than one meal’s worth of food or water so nothing spills during eating. Small dogs and cats typically need bowls around 350-500ml capacity, while medium and large dogs need 700ml-1.5L. It’s heavy enough to stay in place while your pet eats, doesn’t harbour bacteria the way scratched plastic can, and won’t leave a metallic taste in food or water the way some stainless steel bowls do. Ceramic also looks better in the home and can be personalised with your pet’s name and photo, which plastic and metal alternatives can’t match.

Yes, our personalised pet bowls are made from high-quality ceramic and are dishwasher safe. For the best results and to preserve the printed design long-term, we recommend washing on a regular cycle (not high-heat sterilise) and avoiding harsh abrasive cleaners. The printing process is designed to withstand daily use and regular cleaning.
